Bring
- Your UK photocard provisional driving licence.
- Glasses or contact lenses if you need them to drive.
- A suitable car — we can provide an SQ car for your test.
The test itself
- Eyesight check: read a number plate from 20 metres.
- Tell me question before you drive, and a show me question while driving.
- About 40 minutes of driving, including about 20 minutes of independent driving following a sat-nav or road signs.
- One reversing manoeuvre, and possibly an emergency stop.
- Up to 15 driving faults and no serious or dangerous faults to pass.
On the day
- Book a warm-up lesson with us beforehand.
- Arrive at the test centre early.
- If you make a mistake, keep calm and keep going — one error doesn't mean you've failed.
